Finnish Glass Art Exhibition in Istanbul

The Turkish and Islamic Art Museum, in Istanbul, will host an exhibition from Finland this autumn.
The Exhibition, which reflects Finnish Glass Art from the years 2000-2005, can be visited from 12th of September to 12th of November.
Compiled by the Finnish Glass Museum, the exhibition assembles 60 glass artists presenting different works and concepts.
On its international tour, the exhibition has been on show in France, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, Luxemburg and Germany.
The works in glass on show in this exhibition are unique and abstract, and lack, in many cases, a traditional function.
They represent new insights, with a mission of improving the immediate environment of people in the same manner as other areas of art and design.
