For the fourth time Luminale 2008 be taking place at the same time as Light+Building.

In 2006 there were 178 different lighting projects and 158 events, both in Frankfurt am Main and in the region between the Rhine valley and Karlsruhe Wiesbaden and Aschaffenburg.

Luminale is one of the most important festivals of light in the world.

The breadth and variety of everything on show is unique.

Lighting installations, lighting art, performances, exhibitions, private views and parties all present the fascinating possibilities offered by light and lighting.

Exhibitors at Light+Building will be demonstrating the effectiveness of their products in building illuminations, light and sound installations, in squares, in harbours, parks and museums.

Lighting designers and lighting artists will be transforming cityscapes into light laboratories.

Bus lines will link these night-time showplaces.
