Los Angeles broadcast design studio jonberrydesign designed and produced the main title and graphics package for The Style Network series "Pantry Raid," produced by Dalaklis McKeown Entertainment.
"Pantry Raid" features chef Michael Schulson making surprise visits to homes and teaching novice cooks to make meals using only ingredients that happen to be in their pantry.
"The look for Pantry Raid is an extension of the logo that had already been created by Comcast Entertainment Group designers," said Designer/Creative Director Jon Berry.
"The network wanted the open to feature as much full frame video as possible with minimal graphic intrusion.
Using the circular elements gave me a simple but dynamic device to abstractly reference time, a stove dial, and the evolution of learning while still keeping the focus on the video."
Because video in Pantry Raid is often of busy cluttered kitchen shots, Berry felt it was important for the graphic elements to be clean and simple, yet feel active and lively.
The white base fit The Style Network feel and the red and blue palette spoke toward the hot and cold nature of cooking.
The continuously opening elements are meant to reference a sense of discovery and optimism to fit the lighthearted but instructional nature of the show.
