The Chair of the Memorials Design Competition, Mike Buick, announced the details of entries received for consideration in the competition to design two memorials to World War I and World War II in the national capital.
"There were 36 final submissions received.
We are delighted that 30 of those designs are from Australian Design Professionals, with the remaining 6 from the US, Germany, India and the UK," said Mike Buick.
The Competition sparked international interest with 255 registrations received from far a field as Syria, China, North and South America and the UK and Europe.
"As the last few days of national remembrance remind us, Australia's remain forever grateful for the sacrifice so many made during last centuries' Great Wars", said Mr Buick.
"And as the entries we have received demonstrate, that sacrifice continues to inspire creative minds around the world."
"The judges are this week considering the entries, he said.
"They will short-list four entrants and ask them to submit final designs next month.
We look forward to seeing the results."
