Taction a Unique Architectural Installation of Instincts
Material ConneXion will host Taction, an exhibition designed by Fabric Images Inc., a Chicago-based, worldwide supplier of printable and non-printable fabric architecture, during the 2008 International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

As part of Material ConneXion's ongoing commitment to present exhibitions that explore influential developments of new materials and their potential uses, Fabric Images will create a unique architectural installation of Instincts, a new line of poly-dimensional sensory textiles.

The exhibition, which will also celebrate the opening of Fabric Images, Inc., NYC, will be on view at Material ConneXion at 127 West 25th Street, 2nd Floor, from May 14-June 15, 2008.

The exhibition of Instincts will engage the poly-dimensional textiles in a way that allows for visitors to fully explore the distinct properties of this material.

Poly-dimensional textiles offer the fusion of low-tech sensory exploration without the need for high-tech cost.

These textiles create the ability to extend the user-experience by involving the human senses of sight and touch, and offer a variety of opportunities that include customized printing and messaging, layering for dimensional effect, versatility in lighting, creating and dressing organic architecture, and manufacturing unique atmospheres through fabric solutions.

Interactive textiles are fast becoming the next evolution in fabric-based offerings to hit the build/design community.
