In Turkey cinema-industrial design is in a rather underdeveloped condition. Due to the inadequacy of the necessary professions related to cinema, the development of Turkish cinema has always been less than desired up till the mid 90's
Turkish cinema, which was set upon book adaptations in its first times, tended to follow the rules that were forced to it under the heavy burden of censor and constraints, pushing creativity to the second place. The famous faces introduced by 50's and 60's that even still have effects on our public, created the pathway of Turkish Cinema. With them Turkish Cinema and Yeşilçam tasted being able to reach creativity peaks. With its 300 films shot in a year, Yeşilçam Cinema was in a condition to compete with Hollywood wit its production of 500 films each year. Although most of these films had the ever-known themes kept kind of repeating the same stories, as they were able to reflect our very own culture they reached out to large crowds. Maybe that's why instead of developing itself or turning toward new searches, for a long time Turkish Cinema followed a stagnant path, while giving the public what they wanted.
In a time that technology develops with an immense speed, while designing new worlds in his own field, an industrial designer will help to fulfill the needs of creating in other sectors.
