Organizers are hoping relative calm in the security situation will help produce a strong turnout at the Israeli Professional Trade Show for Jewelry and Accessories - Jovella 2004 - due to take place on July 7 and 8.
Many members of the international trade, including buyers and dealers, have been invited to the trade show that will present Israeli craftsman, jewelry designs and Israeli production.
The number of foreign buyers in the diamond industry, as well as visitors and exhibitors at a range of trade shows, has fallen since the outbreak of a Palestinian uprising in September 2000 and a series of suicide bombings and other attacks.
According to media reports, however, the number of visitors has risen in recent months due to a lull in violence.
