County Man is on the Forefront of Sailboat Design
With some 30 years of boat-designing experience behind him, it would be easy for Coldwater-area resident Steve Killing to get a little blas� about his profession, feeling there's probably not many more ways you can build a sailing vessel.

But his creative juices are still flowing, and now he's pumped up about the project he has been involved with for the past 36 months.

Killing is part of a select group of people who have been involved in the creation of Fusion Sailboats, a revolutionary marine craft, which is gaining popularity throughout North America.

"About half the boats we've sold so far have been to cottagers and the other half is to people who have never sailed before," said Killing.

Already, the boat has made a major impact within the boating industry, recently being named Sailing World's Boat of the Year for 2003.
