Midcoast Aviation to Design Interior of Bombardier Jet
St. Louis-based Midcoast Aviation will design and install the interior of Bombardier Aerospace's Global 500 business jet, Bombardier said Tuesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Montreal-based Bombardier received the contract from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for the jet, which will be operated as an airborne research and development laboratory equipped to handle special missions equipment. It will join a fleet of other Bombardier jets currently used by the FAA. The aircraft will be delivered to the FAA in New Jersey by Sept. 30, 2005.

Midcoast Aviation is a full-service corporate aircraft maintenance and modification company with operations at St. Louis Downtown Airport, Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, Spirit of St. Louis Airport and Perryville Municipal Airport. It has more than 800 employees.
