San Francisco International Fashion Week Postponed to March 2005
San Francisco International Fashion Week (SFIFW) is honored to have the stellar line-up of designers who agreed to participate in its landmark inaugural fashion event in San Francisco.

Unfortunately, San Francisco is currently experiencing a hotel union labor dispute involving many of the premier hotels in the city. This strike has seriously affected SFIFW’s designer accommodations, event headquarters, pre-event publicity, press junket, awards luncheon, and post-event parties that were planned in these hotels.

Regrettably, under these circumstances, which are beyond SFIFW's control, SFIFW cannot guarantee the integrity of the fashion show and create an event that is worthy of San Francisco; therefore, we cannot produce the show as scheduled. Accordingly, we have decided to postpone the October 2004 inaugural event to March 2005.

“The support that we have received for SFIFW has been unbelievably positive. San Francisco needs a fashion event of this magnitude, and while we are disappointed that the October event has been postponed, we are looking forward to an amazing March line-up,” said Jacinta Law, founder and producer of SFIFW.

The SFIFW inaugural event has been rescheduled for March 2005 and will feature Fall 2005 design collections.
