Michael Giacchino Wins Los Angeles Film Critics Associations Annual Film Award
Los Angeles Film Critics Association's annual film awards were presented yesterday.

In the music category, Michael Giacchino won the award for his stirring score for the Disney/Pixar comedy The Incredibles.

The film also won the award for Best Animation.

The big winner, though, was Sideways, the Alexander Payne comedy with a jazz score by Rolfe Kent. It was named Best Film and also grabbed four other awards.

Michael Giacchino, whose next big film assignment is Disney's Sky High, has been very busy lately.

Besides The Incredibles, he has continued to score the Alias TV series as well as the new show Lost. Game scores for Mercenaries and Call of Duty: Finest Hour are also on the list of recent works, as well as the score for low budget feature The Trouble With Lou.
