New Gates Capture Best of Design and Function
Uniquely combining form and function with detail and design, Ennis artists Bern and Lexi Sundell are bringing a new look to the traditional idea of a gate. With the help and expertise of Ennis resident and master metal fabricator Steve Wham, the Sundell's distinctive steel gates are beginning to catch the eye of home-owners in the Madison Valley and beyond looking for a distinctive yet functional way to highlight their property.

"The response has been really wonderful. I think it is because these gates are of such high quality. A lot of people can weld something together but to put something together with this high quality and design is really special," said Lexi Sundell.

"These gates are really made to finish off a house. When you add a nice entry gate, everything about the property really looks special," added Bern Sundell.

The art of gate making is a new artistic endeavor for the Sundells, who introduced the high-end gates this past fall at the Ennis fly fishing festival and home show. Longtime artists and owners of the downtown Ennis Riverstone Gallery, the Sundells are known throughout the west for their artistic talents including Bern's "Fly-fishing" acrylic series and Lexi's acrylic floral paintings.
