Fischer Homes celebrated the grand opening of its Lifestyle Design Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony given by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce on Friday. Work on the center began a year ago.

This member of the Fischer Group, which has been building homes in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati since 1981, claims that its new, 17,000-square-foot design center is one of the largest facilities in the eastern half of the United States.

"Having so much space really allows us to showcase the best in single-family home design," said Russ Beymer, marketing director for Fischer Homes. "The Lifestyle Design Center gives Fischer Homes customers an unprecedented amount of options and design choices -- more doors, more faucets, more tiles -- simply more of everything."

The new design center is located along U.S. 27 in the Fort Thomas Shopping Center.

Fischer Homes is headquartered in Crestview Hills, Ky. In 2004, Fischer Group companies built more than 1,000 homes and generated more than $220 million in revenue. Residences built by Fischer are located in more than 50 new community developments throughout the tri-state, and the different residential styles include single- family homes, condominiums, townhouses and patio homes. Price range from $80,000 to $400,000-plus.
