Alessandro Mendini's ability to create small domestic appliances for the kitchen is no revelation for Alessi. In the early nineties, Mendini directed and coordinated, with Alberto Alessi, a design workshop for a group of designers for Philips. This experience led to the creation of a small family: "Philips by Alessi".
It consists of four electrical appliances which, despite being on the market only a short time, opened the way for a new approach to the category, exercising a considerable and lasting influence on design within this sector.
With the "Geo" drip coffee maker, Mendini, with his decorative and anthropomorphic mark, even manages to break up the ranks of kitchen appliances.
While we are used to "asking" these items to be merely useful, functional and efficient, with "Geo", Alessi asks us to approach a poetic machine, our very own dandy in harlequin blouse which we'll have great fun taking by the ears, literally, very own time we want to prepare a cup of filter coffee.
For souls always "à la recherche", or for an important gift, ideal to forgive an occasional "temps perdu", there is the special "Geo-Proust", hand-painted in numbered production.
But though "Geo" cannot pass unnoticed, particularly because of its appearance, this drip coffee maker offers, as always, Alessi's guarantee of maximum quality
