
New York design firm Pecos Design and its founder Mark Greene are recognized in a new book on creative food packaging for contributions to innovative, successful and seductive design.
The book, entitled "Eat Me" by Ben Hargreaves (RotoVision Press) is billed as 'A must-consume for designers working within the field of food packaging as well as those from the wider field with a hunger for visual stimulation.' "Eat Me" features insights from professionals working within food packaging graphics design, and essays exploring the practical and psychological issues governing successful work. It also takes three international design groups-including Pecos Design-working in the field as case studies.
"As a boutique design shop, it's wonderful to have your work recognized on an international stage and compared with much larger firms," says Pecos' founder Mark Greene. "We produce work at a fraction of the cost, yet this shows our work to be highly competitive. That's good design and good business by any standard."
The book "Eat Me" includes two food product launches for which Greene and Pecos Design provided the package design. Later this year, Greene's work is again slated for publication in Brainstorming Books: Food Design, published by Linea Editorial of Barcelona, Spain.
