URART Awarded Silver Prize at The Fifth International South Sea Pearl Jewellery
URART of Istanbul Turkey, designer of handcrafted jewellery and silver objects based on interpretations of motifs from the various Anatolian civilisations has been awarded the silver prize in the Brooch category at the Fifth International South Sea Pearl Jewellery Competition organised by the International South Sea Pearl Consortium and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

The award was presented at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Fair on March 3,2005 to Mr.Erol Sagmanli, Chairman and to Ms.Filiz Vural, Chief Designer for "Constantinople's Spiral" a brooch inspired by the wirework technique used on 11th Century Byzantine manuscript cover decorations.
