
Slifer Designs was recently awarded two gold awards and one silver award for excellence in interior design for its work on resort properties in the Vail Valley and Lake Tahoe.
Taking coveted gold awards from the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) are Slifer Designs' Old Greenwood Lodge in Lake Tahoe, a facility following strict environmental and "green" guidelines, and the sales center at Cordillera Golf Club.
Country Club of the Rockies received a silver award for the redesign of its restaurant and clubhouse.
ARDA is a national organization representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries and gives these awards to architects, designers and developers.
According to Slifer Designs' Vice President of Interior Architecture and Hospitality James D. Dawkins, the competition for ARDA's design excellence awards is very tight in all categories.
"Firms from all around the country compete for recognition and only the best in class are selected," said Dawkins.
"We are honored and proud of the artistic excellence that our diverse team continues to create in both interior architecture and design. These awards serve as stepping stones to future achievements as we continue to develop our talents and abilities in world-class mountain resort design."
