Computer with Fashion Sense

Computer with Fashion Sense
NEC Corp has developed a computer system that serves as a fashion coordinator to help shoppers make purchase decisions.

The system uses smart tags and an Internet connection to display how the garments in the store look paired with a shopper's existing wardrobe.

For this setup to work, the shopper needs to access a database site on the Internet and pre-register information about the clothes in his or her wardrobe.

The shopper then carries a smart tag that holds information about the location of personal information in the database.

At the clothing store, the shopper waves the smart tag in front of a special reader, and a computer in the store does the rest, accessing the Internet to get information about the wardrobe and displaying combinations on the screen that pair clothes in the store with clothes in the wardrobe.
