2006 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards
The 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) announced its Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Awards Honorees.

Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the producer of the International CES, and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the International CES Innovations Awards highlight product advancements in technology design and engineering.

"With a more than 1,000 entries from 160 companies, the Innovations program continues to grow in size and prestige year after year", said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of CEA.

"Innovations has become a hallmark for the best designed products in consumer technology and we are excited to showcase this year's honorees at the 2006 International CES."

Winning entries from 30 product categories will be displayed at the 2006 International CES in the all-new Innovations Plus at the Sands.

In addition to Innovations honorees, CES' Innovations Plus at the Sands features emerging technologies and includes more than 12 hot product TechZones, 75 conference sessions including Industry Insiders, International Gateway exhibitors and Dave Graveline's "Into Tomorrow" live radio broadcasts.
The 2006 International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, runs January 5-8, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
