
Planet Propaganda's limited edition book design for American Players Theatre's Book of Lore won a 2005 Good Design Award from the Chicago Anthenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
Planet's book design stood out from the hundreds of international industrial and graphic design entries ranging from an airplane to a paper clip.
The Book of Lore will be displayed at the museum in 2006 and on its website.
For 15 years, Planet Propaganda has contributed its creativity and strategic thinking to help the American Players Theatre (APT) outdoor Shakespearean repertory company of Spring Green, Wis., position itself as part of an essential, summer experience: driving through rolling rural hills, dining on wine and cheese, enjoying a casual atmosphere set within the lush summer woods, and watching celebrated classical theater.
The resulting loyal following and continually increasing attendance have made APT one of the most popular outdoor classical theater in the country.
For the 25th Anniversary Season, Planet created a limited edition book celebrating the theater's first quarter-century tapping APT's collective memory of loyal patrons, cast, and crew to assemble a culmination of anecdotes and artwork, bound and printed as the Book of Lore.
