Applying Art to Corporate World

Applying Art to Corporate World
Ana Maregatti is an artist with a keen eye for color and textures.

But her work appears in corporate boardrooms and biomedical research labs, not galleries and museums.

Maregatti is an interior designer who has managed to mesh paint, fabric and carpet, along with a passion for art, into a burgeoning business catering to a corporate world.

Indianapolis-based Maregatti Interiors' work is splashed on the walls of Finish Line's new corporate headquarters, displayed at First United Methodist Church in Bloomington and will be in the new nanotechnology center at Purdue University.

Other projects include St. Mary's Hospital's new heart institute in Evansville and a medical center in Springfield, Ill.

Since founding the firm in 2002, Maregatti has seen revenue grow 20 percent.

She recently expanded her business, opening an office in Chicago.

Her plans include one day taking the firm national.

Maregatti has an impressive grasp of the business world, but she's a diehard artist at heart.

Just don't tell her what she does is beautiful.
