Residential Design 2006

Residential Design 2006 will take place during April 5-6, 2006 in Seaport World Trade Center.

The inaugural edition of Residential Design was a tremendous success.

Over 7,500 guests registered for the first-year show - 53% higher than expected.

The event featured a sold-out Keynote Address by Sarah Susanka FAIA, a tradeshow, an 'Open House' reception for the general public and 'A Celebration of 50 Years of Record Houses' with Robert Ivy FAIA. The tradeshow floor was limited to 200+ exhibits to provide an intimate experience for attendees.

Exhibits focused on residential products and services for both the trade and consumers.

Design exhibits including residential work of New England architects and interior designers, a national student/young designer housing competition and 50 years of featured residential projects from Architectural Record's Record Houses were also on display.

Registrants totaled over 7,500 guests - far exceeding initial expectations. 16 % of people in attendance were consumers invited to a special three-hour reception during the event.
