Baker Honored for Project
Michael Baker Jr. Inc., the engineering unit of Michael Baker Corp., received two awards for work performed on the District Department of Transportation's Anacostia Waterfront Transportation Design Standards project in Washington, D.C.

Baker developed a design manual for transportation infrastructure throughout the Anacostia Waterfront area, addressing mobility, environmental stewardship and community planning.

The work netted Baker the 2005 American Society of Landscape Architects Potomac/Maryland Chapters Honor Award, the highest award given by this chapter in its annual professional awards program, and the 2005 Outstanding Award for a Project/Program/To ol from the American Planning Association, National Capital Area Chapter.
