Green Construction 2006

Green Construction 2006
Green Construction 2006 will bring all segments of the Northern California building community together to focus on the important issue of sharing green practices and discussing ways to further recognize and encourage sustainable building.

The 2 day event features a full program of instructional sessions and workshops covering environmentally friendly building, design and construction topics as well as important topics like education, outreach, advocacy, legal issues and more.

To round off the business program, they have new project presenters introducing new projects and providing insight and tips from the buyers side of the market.

It will take place in San Jose Convention Center in April 12 and 13, 2006.

Recent studies have proven that green buildings have positive effects on people compared to traditional buildings.

This can translate into tangible benefits for commercial, school, municipal and home builders.

While environmentally sustainable construction may add up to 2% to the cost, the return on that investment is significant and ongoing.

The savings on energy costs begin immediately and will likely only increase over time as fuel costs continue to rise.

In addition to lower operating costs, building owners and home owners will likely experience higher resale value.
