New DaVita Dialysis Service Centers to be Designed

Barone Design Group, a solutions-driven architecture and interiors firm, collaborated with Sikes Group, a leading Houston-based architecture firm, to design and construct four new DaVita dialysis service centers in San Antonio and Houston.

Barone Design Group, a firm with extensive experience creating innovative and high performance environments, collaborated with the Sikes Group to develop new clinics that integrate the latest technologies and enhance patient comfort.

The design strategy underpinning DaVita dialysis centers includes evaluating and implementing solutions that maximize function and patient comfort.

Each facility is designed to serve between 12 to 24 patients, medical and business administration staff, and accommodate a team of health care professionals who also provide home-bound care.

Key components of the design include creating an environment that is highly accessible and comfortable; incorporating a range of new technologies; and creating an efficient, streamlined space programming strategy.

Each patient area includes dialysis equipment, personal flat screen televisions and internet access.

Indirect lighting, used in conjunction with natural light and natural color tones, creates a soothing environment.

Durable finishes allow for easy sanitation and long-term maintenance.
