Cheers to the Chairs
Design Within Reach has chosen two winners of their first annual Holiday Champagne Chair Contest. Jurors Rob Forbes, Barbara Barry, and Joe Rosa, awarded the two $1,000 prizes to: Jonathan Barton from Drexel University for his Trapezius Chair (student category), and graphic designer Gene Haulenbeek for his Tuffet Chair (non-student category). Fifty of the chair contest finalists will be showcased in a traveling exhibition, which kicks off at DWR's San Francisco studio on Monday, January 19.
