School of Design Presents RAW: Design in Progress is Rough

School of Design Presents RAW Design in Progress is Rough
The School of Design at George Brown College presents RAW, the year end show and exhibition celebrating the best works from the Class of 2006 graphic design students.

This year's theme Design in Progress is Rough plays on the concept of "sandpaper" and its function as an agent of change in shaping raw products or ideas into refined end products.

Open to all third year graphic design students, individuals started with their design thesis projects and had the opportunity to choose their themes.

The thesis projects were developed around a theoretical proposition and include research, project management and a creative design component.

In this year's show, thirty student projects were selected through an industry jury.

Categories include Corporate Design, Advertising, Image Design, Digital Media, and Environmental Design.

Top entries receive cash prizes which will be awarded on May 4.

The industry jury included Claire Dawson from Underline Studio, Gerald George of The George Partnership, Ian McFayden of Autodesk (formerly Alias), illustrator Jennifer Herbert and copywriter Brent Pulford.
