HauteGREEN 2006 Exhibition

HauteGREEN 2006 Exhibition
HauteGREEN is an exhibition of the best in sustainable design for the contemporary home, showcasing furniture, lighting, and accessories that are both aesthetically pleasing and eco-friendly.

Held in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, May 20-22, during the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, HauteGREEN 2006 features a curated collection of over forty pieces, from designers working in Brooklyn and around the world.

Spotlighting design that is beautiful, functional, and sustainable, HauteGREEN promises to be one of the highlights of New York Design Week 2006.

Among the highlights of HauteGREEN 2006 are BBDRRR, redstr / collective's showpiece rug made of fabric scraps from fashion label BOUDICCA's latest collection, Daniel Michalik's Cortica, a 72" chaise longue made entirely of renewable and recyclable cork, and Tobias Wong and Josee Lepage's WATERRR, a recycling project that reveals the beauty of used water bottles.

HauteGREEN 2006 was curated by freelance design writer Aric Chen, design entrepreneur and Treehugger founder Graham Hill, and design publicist Kimberly Oliver, who chose the pieces in HauteGREEN 2006 from a pool of almost 200 local, national, and international submissions.
