Concrete Pictures - a Philadelphia creative agency and multi-platform production company - has teamed up with the Philadelphia Art Alliance (PAA) to create an all-digital motion art exhibition.
Entitled "Out of Frame: Motion Art from Mobius," the groundbreaking show will feature work from an array of emerging artists, both local and nationwide from September 21 through December 31.
MOBIUS is an independent production facility developed and housed by Concrete Pictures to inspire and promote today's top digital artists working in high-definition television.
"The Mobius project was an amazing instance where art for the sake of art broke through the television industry's naysaying and was able to offer itself up as a place and means of expression for artists working in the video medium," said Wade Echer, Mobius' Supervising Producer for Concrete Pictures.
"I call it the 'venue for the venueless.' Now I'm thrilled to see these artists embraced and appearing in such a prestigious gallery."
All of the featured work is created for and will be presented on state-of-the-art high-definition (HD) equipment.
HD video has not only made existing genres of programming, like sports and movies, more compelling, but it has also enabled the introduction of a totally new genre: non-narrative motion art.
