
Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization announced today 1,033 products including the "best 15" that were accredited by the 50th Good Design Award.
The "Good Design Award 2006" received 2,918 entries for "Product Design Categories," "Architecture and Environment Design Categories," "Communication Design Categories," and "New Territory Design Categories" from April 26th to June 7th 2006.
Toshiyuki Kita, Manabu Akaike, Kiyoyuki Okuyama, and the remaining 70 council members judged the 2,918 nominees and accredited 1,034 G-Mark products.
The accredited 1,034 G-mark products include the "best 15 Good Design Award," "Universal Design Prize," "Interaction Design Prize," and "Ecology Design Prize".
A "Good Design Grand Prize 2006" and 14 "Good Design Gold Prize 2006" will be selected from the "best 15" Good design Award winners by the Good Design Council members and Good Design Award winners will be announced on October 25th at the "Good Design Grand Prize Winning Ceremony".
The "Good Design Award" informs about design surrounding our daily lives, unborn new design connected to technology, and the role that design plays via the "Good Design Grand Prize".
