Architecture Firms Win Design Awards

Architecture Firms Win Design Awards
Two local architectural firms, LS3P Associates and Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, have been recognized for their skill and creativity in designing with brick.

The Design with Brick 2003 awards were presented by the Brick Association of the Carolinas.

LS3P Associates received the President's Award, which recognized the company's use of brick and other materials at Parkdale Mills' corporate headquarters in Gastonia. That award is the association's top honor and includes a $1,000 prize, which is donated to the winner's architectural school of choice.

LS3P also won the Unique Brick Detailing Award for the project.

Little Diversified, meanwhile, received a Merit Award for its design of West Hall on the Davidson College campus.

Altogether six N.C. companies received awards, which were presented Saturday in Greensboro.

The Charlotte-based Brick Association promotes brick as a preferred building material for residential and commercial construction.
