Fashion House Chloe Names New Designer

Fashion House Chloe Names New Designer
Paris fashion house Chloe, its business booming and popularity mounting, took a gamble on Wednesday and named a little-known Swedish designer to be its chief designer.

Paulo Melim Andersson, 34, comes to Chloe after a seven-year stint at Italian fashion company Marni and replaces Phoebe Philo, an acclaimed British designer who left Chloe earlier this year to spend more time with her family.

"We are thrilled to have Paulo join us and look forward to him becoming a part of the Chloe design legacy," said Chief Executive Officer Ralph Toledano in a statement.

The announcement comes just a week after Paris fashion week, when Chloe flooded the runway with a marriage of minimalism with intricacy.
