Michela O'Connor Abrams, President and Publisher of Dwell LLC, has announced the appointment of Sam Grawe to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Dwell.
Mr. Grawe, 29, who has been with the media company since October of 2000, will assume the post effective today.
"There is no more natural a fit than Sam Grawe for the position of Editor-in-Chief," says O'Connor Abrams.
"As one of our founding voices, Sam has an inherent understanding of the Dwell mission, the vitality of our brand platforms, and our goals going forward.
He is a bright, thoughtful, and creative editor whose instincts and insights will be fundamental in taking Dwell forward."
Mr. Grawe joined Dwell in October of 2000 as Editorial Assistant and quickly rose through the ranks to become Executive Editor in August of this year.
Prior to Dwell, he worked for The Burdick Group where he researched and wrote the museography for Churchill Downs' Kentucky Derby Museum.
He has also written for Wired and Nylon magazines, co-taught a design workshop with Erwan Bouroullec at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki, and is one half of the electronic music group Windsurf (Sentrall Records).
