The Spark Design Awards

Spark is the exciting new competition created to promote great design and designers.

The Spark Awards invite everyone - professionals and non professionals alike to participate - designers, art directors, architects, design firms, manufacturers, institutions, ad agencies, students and novices may enter and enjoy the Spark Design Awards.

Graphics, product, transportation and architecture are just a few of the many design categories accepted.

Special categories include Sustainable Design, produced in partnership with Dwell Magazine, Public Sector Design, produced with Rutger's National Center for Public Productivity, Newark Campus and Mobility Design, produced with Jean Jennings' wonderful Automobile Magazine.

The early bird deadline is March 1, 2007.

The general deadline is April 15 and the late deadline is April 30, 2007.

An independent jury of prestigious experts from design firms, schools and media will judge these works, nominating the designs that rank among the best of the world in their category.

Those rare entries that clearly stand above their peers will receive "HotSpark Awards."

Entries that make a special effort to improve our world may earn the "Aspirational Award."

The competition finale will be celebrated in May in a special awards reception.
