At Nokia's annual Capital Market Days taking place in Amsterdam today, Nokia unveiled its latest multimode UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) handset, the Nokia 6086, allowing consumers to stay in touch - in any environment.
Designed for consumers who strive for simplicity and value for money, the quad-band GSM and UMA-enabled cameraphone hides its sophisticated circuitry within a classic design with a large keypad and intuitive user menu.
"The key to the success of the Nokia 6086 - and UMA technology for that matter - is the seamless consumer experience," says Kai Oistamo, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Phones, Nokia.
"Based on a number of successful UMA trials, the Nokia 6086 has proven to be a top-performer, flawlessly switching from quad-band GSM to WLAN coverage, as the environment demands.
The Nokia 6086 successfully integrates the radio technologies making them completely transparent to the consumer."
