Lightouch Design Competition 2007
DesignSingapore Council and FLOS invite designers from around the world to create innovative lighting solutions for Lightouch Design Competiton 2007.

For the 2007 design competition, designers are called to create a functional, adaptable, modular and scalable lighting system.

The top entry will win the grand prize of a trip to Milan on business class and a learning tour to the FLOS factory.

The designers for the eight best entries will be invited to Singapore next year for a prototyping workshop conducted by FLOS.

This is the second in the series of Lightouch design competitions.

The first, which was held in 2003, attracted over 69 entries from countries in Asia, Europe, Australia and America.

The Canadian entry by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen of Forsythe and MacAllen Design won the top prize.

"Having received encouraging support from the design community and with more intense efforts put into the call for participation, we are targeting to increase the number of entries ten-fold to over 600 for the competition.

DesignSingapore seeks to develop Lightouch as an avenue for designers to express, share and be recognized for their creative ideas.
